ABOUT STEPHEN

Background:

Hello! I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, played soccer, baseball & basketball for my High School. After college I lived in Boston for 10 years, before moving to San Francisco, for the past 6 years.

Education:

I attended St. Lawrence University, majoring in Philosophy & Government. I also lived in Copenhagen, studying both social democracy, and existentialism - an experience which was profoundly influential. Suffice to say, I'm a bit of a contrarian, question everything, love discussions, and think a lot about how & why we find things meaningful. :-)

Work:

After college, I helped start a company that I'd work for, over the next 15 years. I wrote a simple program, which would eventually grow into an end-to-end software platform which would coordinate all activities for a telecommunications deployment. From 2014 until 2020 (T-Mobile Merger), all equipment upgrades for Sprint's cellular network, was engineered, ordered, coordinated, distributed & tracked using this software platform.

While an incredible experience -- I'm excited to direct my attention back to something I'm really passionate about: government. Presently, I'm in the early stages of creating a new software platform, Democraci -- an application designed to restore & facilitate effective democracy.
